Mark Hammond, Vice President and General Manager, Bisson Transportation
Since joining Bisson in 2001, the company's Freight Division revenues have nearly doubled. As a 33-year veteran of the national and international transportation industry, Hammond has first-hand experience in virtually every facet of the job. From early experience as a 17-year-old dockworker in northern New Jersey, to stints driving tractor-trailers in the New York metro area, to his present executive position, Hammond has consistently shown a passion for the industry. Before joining Bisson, he was Vice President of operations for one of the world's largest air freight companies. He later founded, and eventually sold, his own company, International Air & Ocean Freight Forwarding Company, later called Specialized Freight Systems, Inc.
